A Bit About Me

While qualifying as a hairdresser I found my passion for styling hair and competed in many competitions, one at National level, where I had the chance to meet the iconic Patrick Cameron. 

After gaining experience in salons and working as a freelance hairdresser, I decided to specialise in bridal and occasion hair and Emma's Updos was born.

Working in the wedding industry is such a pleasure, I love making people feel their very best. I offer a professional, bespoke service ranging from natural relaxed styling to vintage/retro styles from particular era’s.

With my extensive haircare knowledge I can advise you on a good routine leading up to your special day so your hair is in the best condition it can be. We can build an idea of your bespoke hairstyle using inspiration pictures, trialling our ideas and I'm on hand to offer advice whenever you need it. On the day of your wedding, I will allow plenty of time for getting ready so we can create a calm and relaxed atmosphere and you can focus on being pampered and feeling special. I will lend my hand to help wherever I can, I've even been known to sew people into their dresses at the last moment!

I enjoy working on shoots, meeting other like minded suppliers in the wedding industry and creating beautiful content. I have been involved in shoots featured in wedding blogs, such as Boho Wedding Blog.

I am constantly learning and developing my skills so I can stay current with the changing trends. I have completed bridal hair styling courses and hold memberships to exclusive ongoing online training academies.
